Is it Spring 2011 already?!

Welcome everyone to 2011 and whole new semester! We’re starting off fresh with a new Paralegal Student Association executive board in place and we’re looking to ratchet up the participation. Please email me for information!

Our Orientation for new Legal Studies Students is coming up and we’ll be letting you know the date and time. Even if you’re not new, please come anyway, especially if you haven’t attended previous Orientations.

We are very excited to have a new adjunct instructor joining us this semester: Cathy Robson. She’ll be teaching Contracts and Ethics (here on campus). She’ll be bringing a wealth of paralegal experience to the classroom as well as her overall niceness!

Professor Michael Dowd is back and he’s teaching the top hit, Criminal Law.

Professor Adongo is teaching Legal Research and Writing, and Litigation I (including a special afternoon section of Litigation for the first time).

And of course, Yours Truly…Carolyn Bekhor…is teaching American Legal Studies, Wills, Trusts and Probate, and the longstanding, beloved by all who pass through Legal Studies’ gates, Senior Project.

In the meantime, some exciting changes have been made to our program. Beginning fall 2011, Senior Project will be a 4-unit course rather than a 2 unit course. And Ethics will be combined into a brand-new required 4-unit combination class with Internship. We anticipate that Cathy Robson will be teaching the course, a wonderful experience to be sure.

All righty then, do stop by our offices in Miller Hall to get advising or help with your classes or just say hello. We’re always here for YOU.

See you in class!
